The rumors about
Jannik Sinner's relationship status officially ended when he mentioned his new partner after triumphing at the 2025
Vienna Open.
Outlets have previously reported on speculation about whether Sinner is dating since he split from WTA player Anna Kalinskaya. Their parting was confirmed when the Italian referred to himself as single earlier this season.
Since that moment, Sinner has responded to questions about a new girlfriend on multiple occasions, denying it each time. It seemed like he would spend the entire season single and just focus on himself.
Sinner continued his dominance on indoor hard courts in the Vienna Open final. The four-time Grand Slam champion has now won 21 consecutive matches in those conditions after beating Alexander Zverev in the final.
In the trophy ceremony, Sinner thanked all those who supported him throughout the tournament, including his girlfriend, Laila Hasanovic, a model and influencer with almost 400,000 Instagram followers.
"To my team, I have to speak in English. Thank you so much for the support. The work you put in, the effort.. also to understand me at times is not easy, but thank you for putting in the effort. Everyone here, with family, my girlfriend, friends. To my whole team and also those watching at home. Thank you so much for the support."
It is unknown how long the pair has been dating, but the scrutiny on them will undoubtedly grow after this confirmation. Relationship interest is something all top athletes have to cope with.
Hasanovic will probably be in attendance for Sinner's title defense at the 2025
ATP Finals on home soil in Turin. He has one more tournament before that at the 2025 Paris Masters, the final 1000-level event of the season.
Sinner skipping the 2025 Davis Cup Finals caused controversy
Last year, Sinner ended his season at the 2024 Davis Cup Finals. He helped Team Italy to win a second consecutive title, unsurprisingly playing a pivotal role in the triumph as his country's best-ever player.
It has been a glorious period in Italy's tennis history. Last month, the Billie Jean King Cup team secured a second consecutive title after another inspirational performance from worldwide fan favorite Jasmine Paolini.
Team Italy's chances of a third consecutive title were significantly weakened when
Sinner announced he would not play at this year's finals, which are scheduled from November 18th to 23rd in Bologna.
Some thought the finals being held in Italy would convince Sinner to play, but that was not the case. The world No. 2 said he wanted an extra week to prepare for the 2026 Australian Open in January.
Two-time French Open champion and fellow Italian tennis legend
Nicola Pietrangeli reacted furiously to Sinner's choice. He thinks it disrespects their country and continues a trend of athletes caring more about money than patriotism.
Sinner making time in his schedule for the 2025 Six Kings Slam exhibition, which he won to secure a $6,000,000 paycheck, and
announcing an exhibition in January with Carlos Alcaraz may support Pietrangeli's view that money matters most.
