Carlos Alcaraz's win at the 2025 Monte-Carlo Masters helped him move up in many standings, including the career prize money leaderboard.

Alcaraz ended his wait for another ATP Masters 1000 trophy. Before triumphing in Monte-Carlo, the Spaniard last lifted a Masters trophy at the Indian Wells Open last year.

Winning in Monte-Carlo was an important step for Alcaraz this season, especially since he struggled to deliver on the biggest stage prior to the Monte-Carlo Masters this year.

But it seems that every time the 21-year-old steps up and wins a big trophy, multiple records and milestones come with it. This time, his triumph was enough to push him up the ATP Rankings to the World No. 2 position.

On top of that, Alcaraz is now ranked first in the 2025 ATP Race, which counts points earned this year. The Spaniard has earned 2,410 points so far. Second Jannik Sinner has 2,000 to his name.

Alcaraz overtook his young Italian rival also in two more standings. When it comes to the prize money won in 2025, the 21-year-old Spaniard is now the leader as well.

So far this year, the four-time major winner has earned $2,376,810 in prize money. He won $420,000 for reaching the Australian Open quarter-finals, and another $510,000 for winning the Rotterdam Open.

Alcaraz earned $1,075,000 for his win at the Monte-Carlo Masters, which not only moved him past Sinner's $2,150,400 earned in 2025, but also over Sinner's total career prize money earned.

The Italian has won $39,389,088 in his tennis career, and also, thanks to Sinner's three-month suspension, Alcaraz has now become the first player born in the 2000s to win more than $40 million in prize money.

In total, the 21-year-old has accumulated $40,231,787 already, and he is expected to move to at least the fifth position in all-time best prize money earners in tennis.

The player who has earned the most is Novak Djokovic with $186,933,983. Rafael Nadal is second, having won $134,946,100 in prize money. Roger Federer occupies the third position with $130,594,339.

Serena Williams is the fourth-best earner in the history of tennis and the best-ever female prize money earner in tennis. She won $94,816,730 in her career.

Although Alcaraz could certainly surpass all four, mostly because of the increasing prize money in the future that's still not a given. However, there are a few players who he could overtake already in the coming months and years.

Pete Sampras won $43,280,489 in his tennis career and Andy Murray's bank account grew by $64,687,542. Alcaraz can overtake both of these players.

Two more active players, apart from Djokovic, who are still ahead of Alcaraz are Alexander Zverev with $52,045,455 and Daniil Medvedev with $45,970,918.

Alcaraz's next tournament will be the Barcelona Open. Should the young Spaniard win in Barcelona, his bank account would grow by $608,000.
