Rafael Nadal's museum after
Aryna Sabalenka donated something from her 2025
US Open title run to the institution.
Sabalenka became a four-time Grand Slam champion after defeating Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 7-6 in the final. It was her second US Open victory, and she retained the women's singles title she won in 2024.
After brutal defeats in the deciding sets of the Australian Open final, French Open final, and Wimbledon semifinal, triumphing in New York was pivotal for Sabalenka. However, this season is still
something of a missed opportunity for her because she could have won the Calendar Grand Slam.
In the match against Sabalenka, she wore a white Nike dress. Most players wear other colors for the season's final Grand Slam after being in all-white at Wimbledon, but the outfit looked superb on the Belarusian.
Rather than keeping the outfit as a reminder of what she achieved at Flushing Meadows, Sabalenka gave it to be displayed at the Rafa Nadal Museum in Mallorca. The
WTA world No. 1 accompanied it with a short message.
"To Rafa Nadal Museum, from Aryna Sabalenka."
The museum's Instagram page announced that Sabalenka's US Open dress had been put on display, accompanying the post with a picture, and congratulated her on her achievements.
"This year, Aryna Sabalenka won the Us Open, and we proudly display the dress she wore to claim the title at the Rafa Nadal Museum. Congratulations on everything you are achieving! VAMOS. Come and see it Manacor-Mallorca."
Sabalenka's donation of her dress to the museum was a classy gesture. The Rafa Nadal Museum has a broad selection of items for fans to view, and it is undoubtedly on many people's bucket lists.
Can Sabalenka finish 2025 with a flourish?
The 2025 WTA Finals will be played from November 1st to 8th. Sabalenka has never won the year-end championships. She was the 2022 runner-up to Caroline Garcia and a semifinalist in 2023 and 2024.
Despite never winning the WTA Finals, Sabalenka will start as the 2025 favorite because of her hard-court dominance. The 27-year-old has reached the last six Grand Slam finals on the surface, winning four of them.
Coco Gauff is the defending champion. The American, who
beat Sabalenka in this year's French Open final, also overcame the No. 1 at the 2024 WTA Finals before beating Qinwen Zheng 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 in a thrilling battle.
Gauff has enjoyed another successful season
despite hitting over 400 double faults for a second consecutive year, which shows her mental toughness and how good the 21-year-old is in other areas.
Iga Swiatek will try to claim her second WTA Finals title. The Pole won the 2023 iteration in Cancun. Madison Keys, Amanda Anisimova, and Jessica Pegula are the other qualified players, ensuring half the players will be American.
Mirra Andreeva, Jasmine Paolini, and Elena Rybakina are fighting for the final two spots. Andreeva, who seemed sure of a place a few months ago, gave Paolini and Rybakina a chance to overtake her by losing to Lin Zhu at the 2025 Ningbo Open.
