2025 Roland Garros Men's Singles Draw With Alcaraz, Sinner, Djokovic

Most of the top favorites in the men's draw at the 2025 Roland Garros won't have an easy path to the title.

The draw for this year's French Open has been released, and it promises a very exciting two weeks of action in the French capital. Last year, Carlos Alcaraz lifted the title in Paris, and he will try to defend it this year.

The Spaniard will enter the tournament as the second seed, but even despite his high seeding status, the draw wasn't very nice to Alcaraz. The four-time Grand Slam champion will have to take on Kei Nishikori in the first round of the tournament.

If the defending champion succeeds in his first match, he will then play against the winner of the match between Fabian Marozsan and Luca Nardi. Marozsan beat Alcaraz before, and Nardi previously bested Djokovic, so they are both capable of causing upsets.

On the opposite side of the draw is the top-seeded Jannik Sinner. The World No. 1 player will be coming to Paris after competing at the Italian Open in Rome, where he received plenty of support from his home crowd in every round of the tournament.

Sinner, however, won't be able to rely on the same kind of support in the early rounds of this year's Roland Garros. His first-round opponent will be Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech, and if Sinner wins that match, his second-round opponent will be another Frenchman.

Two home wild cards, Terence Atmane and legendary Richard Gasquet, for whom this is the last tournament of his tennis career, will meet in the first round, with the winner taking on Sinner.

Sinner's possible quarter-final opponent is Jack Draper. The British player played in the Madrid Open final recently, and he is the fifth seed in the Roland Garros draw. He will start against Mattia Bellucci in the first round.

Three-time champion Novak Djokovic is in Sinner's half of the draw as well. The 38-year-old Serbian won't have an easy first-round match, as he will have to take on Mackenzie McDonald.

Djokovic's most likely quarter-final opponent is Alexander Zverev. The German player has struggled with his form recently, but he will want to start a winning streak in Paris, with his first match being against Learner Tien.

Alcaraz's part is also brutal. The Spaniard's fourth-round opponent could be either Ben Shelton or former French Open finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas. In the quarter-finals, Alcaraz could meet another former finalist, Casper Ruud.
