The 2025 Marseille Open begins on Monday, and there is an intriguing draw for the ATP 250 event.

It is one of three ATP tournaments that will occur simultaneously, the others being the 2025 Delray Beach Open and the 2025 Argentina Open in Buenos Aires, running from February 10th to 16th. That gives players a choice of playing in one of three continents and three sets of conditions.

While the events in Delray Beach and Buenos Aires are held on outdoor hard courts and clay courts, the Marseille Open is an indoor hard court tournament. This year's draw is strong, with several excellent players set to play.

Daniil Medvedev is the No. 1 seed at this year's Marseille Open. After an underwhelming start to the year, he accepted a wild card for the tournament, losing in the early rounds at the 2025 Australian Open and 2025 Rotterdam Open.

The top four seeds receive byes into the next round. In the round of 16, Medvedev will face either Harold Mayot or a qualifier. Although Mayot has improved, the 2021 US Open champion would be a firm favorite if the pair meet.

However, nothing is guaranteed right now with Medvedev. He has not looked in a stable place so far this season, receiving a massive fine for various incidents at the Australian Open before blowing up at the umpire after receiving a time violation in Rotterdam.

Sebastian Korda, the No. 5 seed, is also in the top half of the draw. The American returned at the start of 2025 after undergoing surgery for a severe elbow injury and reached the 2025 Adelaide International final last month.

He has been drawn against Otto Virtanen in the opening round. That would be followed by a round of 16 clash against either Luca Nardi or Daniel Altmaier. Nardi is known for defeating Novak Djokovic at the 2024 Indian Wells Open.

Karen Khachanov, the No. 3, is the other man to receive a bye into the next round. He could face Hamad Medjedovic in his first match. The Serbian is dangerous because of his powerful ball striker.

Khachanov and Korda might meet in the quarterfinal. Medvedev's draw makes a quarterfinal against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard Possible, who possesses the best serve in tennis and is a nightmare to play against.

Stan Wawrinka, who turns 40 next month, has been drawn against Nuno Borges. The three-time Grand Slam champion is embarrassed when compared to Andy Murray, but his love and passion for the game remain awe-inspiring.

Wawrinka needs to win two matches to potentially meet Hubert Hurkacz, the No. 4 seed, in the quarterfinals. The Pole will face Quentin Halys or Zhizhen Zhang in his opening match of the tournament.

Richard Gasquet's final appearance in Marseille before retiring at the 2025 French Open begins with a challenging battle against Alexander Bublik. The winner of that match will have their work cut out in a round of 16 contest with the defending champion Ugo Humbert.

There are more than enough fascinating matchups at this year's Marseille Open for fans to be excited ahead of the tournament.
