The entry list for the 2025 Dubai Championships features an exciting mix of young and established top players.

An ATP 500 event since 2001, the Dubai Championships has a history of attracting some of the best players in the world. A notable example was Roger Federer, who competed at the tournament during most of his career.

Unsurprisingly, the 20-time Grand Slam champion is the most successful player in the event's history with eight titles. Federer was one of the best on any court, but the fast conditions in Dubai suited him to perfection.

Novak Djokovic, who will reportedly miss a few months with an injury, has won the title in Dubai five times. Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka, and Carlos Alcaraz's coach Juan Carlos Ferrero have also won the tournament.

The 2025 entry list is not the strongest in the event's history, with some top players choosing to compete at the Mexican Open during the same week. However, several great players are still set to play in Dubai.

2021 US Open champion Daniil Medvedev is the most statistically successful player on the Dubai Championships entry list. The former ATP world No. 1 won the tournament in 2023, defeating his close friend Andrey Rublev in the final.

This year's Dubai Championships could be among Medvedev's best opportunities to secure a title. The six-time Grand Slam finalist has not lifted an ATP trophy since May 2023 at the Italian Open, his sole success on clay.

That is a lengthy drought for someone of Medvedev's class. Last year's Australian Open runner-up has said that the balls used in recent years quickly become slow and harm him more than most other players. He will hope the courts in Dubai are quick to compensate for that.

Emerging young star Jack Draper is another player on the Dubai Championships entry list. However, his involvement in the tournament is not guaranteed after he withdrew from next week's Rotterdam Open with a hip injury.

Draper retired from his Australian Open fourth-round against Carlos Alcaraz with that problem after winning three consecutive five-set matches. The 22-year-old has a few weeks to be ready for Dubai, but it is impossible to predict if he will fit at this stage.

Grigor Dimitrov's situation is almost identical to Draper's. He retired from his opening round match at the Australian Open with hip and groin injuries and was also forced to withdraw from the Rotterdam Open, making his involvement in Dubai uncertain.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is on the Dubai entry list without any ongoing injury issues. The two-time Grand Slam runner-up accepted a late wild card into the Rotterdam Open and will hope to have built some momentum by the time the Dubai Championships starts.

Alex de Minaur's place on the entry list is surprising. The Australian won the last two editions of the Mexican Open but has decided to feature in Dubai instead this year.

Andrey Rublev, the huge-serving Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Gael Monfils, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and Arthur Fils are among the other players on the entry list.
