The 2025 Chile Open is the last tournament of the popular Golden Swing, and the draw for this ATP 250 event has been revealed.
The 2025 Movistar Chile Open, as is the full name of this tournament, runs from February 24th until March 2nd in Santiago, Chile. The draw for this tournament is full of clay-court specialists who want to enjoy the last event of the Golden Swing.
Most of the top players commit only to the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires and the Rio Open. That's why the likes of Alexander Zverev and Holger Rune are not present in Santiago this year. But there are still many players who will entertain the crowd in Chile.
Sebastian Baez won the tournament this year, and he will return as a defending champion also in 2025. The Argentinian player is a third seed, and he could meet his compatriot Francisco Comesana in the second round of the tournament. Comesana will play against one of the qualifiers in the first round.
The top seed is another Argentinian. Francisco Cerundolo will also enjoy a first-round bye. The top seed will then start against either Facundo Diaz Acosta, yet another Argentinian in the draw, or Yannick Hanfmann.
Home fans will be delighted about the bottom part of the draw. The second-seeded Alejandro Tabilo also has a first-round bye. In the second round, he can play against his compatriot Tomas Barrios Vera, who received a wild card, and will play against Federico Coria in the first round.
On top of that, the seventh-seeded Nicolas Jarry also appears in this part of the draw. Jarry will play against Camilo Ugo Carabelli in the first round of the event. His second-round opponent could be Thiago Monteiro or a qualifier.
Cristian Garin is another home player in the draw. Garin will play against a qualifier in the first round. In the second round, he could meet the fifth-seeded Tomas Martin Etcheverry or Hugo Gaston.
Thiago Seyboth Wild will compete in Santiago as well. Last year, he was part of a controversy at the event, as journalists were not allowed to ask him about his domestic abuse case. This year, the Brazilian player will start against one of the qualifiers.
