The World Cup in Qatar is getting to the most exciting stages, and although Casper Ruud can't support his country, Rafael Nadal's Spain is one of the top favorites.

The two players had very successful 2022 campaigns on the ATP Tour. While the Spaniard won the first two Grand Slam titles of the season, the Norwegian fought for the second and fourth in the final, having a chance to become the world no. 1 had he won the US Open.

Now, after the season, Nadal and Ruud are going around the South America together, entertaining tennis fans around the continent, but they also have to entertain themselves while travelling between the countries.

During their exhibition tour in South America, both players have enough time to get to know each other better and develop their relationship. One of those moments that certainly bonded the two neighbors in the ATP Rankings happened when they were traveling.

A few minutes after 2 AM, Nadal and Ruud found themselves at the airport, and they decided to use this time to show their football skills in a little game with their team.

The Spaniard will certainly root for his country as the team led by Luis Enrique currently leads Group E of the World Cup ahead of Japan, Costa Rica, and Germany.

While Ruud's Norway is yet to play at the World Cup since 1998, Nadal's Spain will attempt to win their first title since 2010 when they beat the Netherlands in a dramatic final in South Africa.

After their exhibition tour, both players will probably face the minor challenge of getting in shape quickly for the new season, as they sacrificed the traditional off-season by signing up to play more tennis during a period when others are resting and preparing to start their workout sessions ahead of 2023.
