WATCH: Medvedev's coach leaves the court after he shouts at him during Halle Open final

Daniil Medvedev was clearly unhappy with his performance during the 2022 Halle Open final and vented at his own coach.

Medvedev, who reclaimed the World No. 1 ranking from Novak Djokovic after the French Open, remains without a title in 2022. However, he had a clean shot at ending his barren run for the season in his last two tournaments, but he lost the finals in both.

Last week, the Russian lost to the surprise Dutch wild card Tim Van Rijthoven in the final in 's-Hertogenbosch in straight sets in one of the most shocking results of the year.

This week, he reached another final at the 2022 Halle Open and met a more daunting opponent in Hubert Hurkacz. However, the start of the match wasn't as Daniil Medvedev would have imagined it.

The match was briefly interrupted by an intruder who was quickly escorted away from the scene by the security guards. Medvedev struggled on his serve and lost the first five games of the match before losing the one-sided first set 1-6.

Medvedev's frustration boiled over after he went down a break early in the second set, and at one point, he lost his temper as he shouted towards his box, where his coach, Gilles Cervara, and his wife, Daria Medvedeva, were seated.

Medvedev's tantrums had an instant effect. His coach was not pleased by his reaction, so he stood up, took his belongings, and walked away from the arena, with television cameras following him on his exit.

The reigning US Open champion had a final to forget as Hurkacz won in straight sets. And it's almost certain that Medvedev will have some sort of pep talk with his longtime coach after the match, as we saw the fiery side of the World No. 1.

Medvedev will now attempt to win his first title of the season in Mallorca, where he will be the top seed. It will be his last tournament of this year's grass-court swing, as he is banned from playing at Wimbledon.
