Nick Kyrgios played a solid first-round match against Jiri Lehecka at the 2022 Stuttgart Open when he won 7-6(3), 6-3 in an hour and 18 minutes.

After not playing for almost 2 months and skipping the majority of the clay-court tournaments, Nick Kyrgios returned in style and booked his spot in the second round of the 2022 Stuttgart Open. The Aussie called himself "the best player on grass" and it seems that he wants to prove it in Stuttgart.

Kyrgios faced two breakpoints in the first set but he got it into the tie-break where he dominated his opponent and won it 7-3. In the second set, he didn't allow Lehecka to have any breakpoints as he had two.

He converted the second one and ended the match with a game to love as he has decided to finish off the last point in style. Despite hitting 18 aces during the match, Kyrgios has decided to play an underarm tweener serve and caught his opponent off guard as he missed the return.
