Carlos Alcaraz struggled to hold back his tears during the trophy ceremony after his loss to Novak Djokovic in the 2023 Cincinnati Masters final.

The two protagonists of the men's final at the ATP 1000 tournament in Cincinnati played possibly one of the greatest best-of-three matches in the history of the sport. After three hours and 50 minutes, Djokovic emerged victorious, and there probably isn't a single person in this world that would easily cope with such a loss.

The young Spaniard had a match point in the second set, but he couldn't convert it, and that was followed by an outburst of emotions. It took a few more hours before we saw Alcaraz very emotional again, but this time, he was tearing up during the post-match trophy ceremony.

Already shortly after the match, the 20-year-old struggled to hold back his tears, and when he talked during the trophy ceremony, his voice was very shaky all the time. But the most emotional moment came when he addressed his brother, Alvaro Alcaraz Garfia.

The 23-year-old has also tried his luck as a professional tennis player, but he didn't reach the heights that his younger brother managed to reach at such a young age, but he's clearly his support in the most emotional moments, on and off the tennis court.

Carlos, who had been teary throughout his speech, started addressing his brother, who also soon started tearing up, as the two brothers shared a beautiful moment, even though it wasn't a moment of joy and celebration, it could have been possibly even more bonding.

"And then I have my brother here as well. It's great to have you here, supporting me every day, to make me be a better person every day, learning from you as well, so thank you very much for being with me."
