Carlos Alcaraz had a routine win in round one of the 2022 Roland Garros over Juan Ignacio Londero, and the Spaniard flashed some of his top tennis.

Entering the 2022 French Open as the sixth seed, Alcaraz can certainly be considered to be one of the favorites at the clay-court Grand Slam, especially given his success on the surface.

In the opening round of the tournament, he took on lucky loser from Argentina, Juan Ignacio Londero, who initially troubled him, but couldn't show much resistance in the closing stages of the match.

The teenage star from Spain grew comfortable with each set, and finally unleashed his full potential in the final set, in which he served up a bagel to his opponent. Londero ran out of gas towards the end and it allowed Alcaraz to demonstrate the raw power he possesses.

At 3-0 for the Spaniard in the third set, and on Londero's serve, Alcaraz unleashed a forehand winner that was so quick Londero did not even react to it despite being on that side of the court. The crowd was impressed, and the winner ended up as the best shot of day number one at the French Open.

It was just a demonstration of sheer dominance from the youngster, who proved that he was the better player by winning the match 6-4, 6-2, 6-0, and booking his spot in the second round of the 2022 Roland Garros.

In the second round of the tournament, he will take on a very tricky opponent who can certainly trouble the teenager, as his fellow compatriot, Albert Ramos-Vinolas will try to stop him from advancing to the third round.

In the opening round, the Spaniard bested always dangerous Thanasi Kokkinakis from Australia, winning the match 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(5) to set up an all-Spanish second-round clash in the French capital.
