Frances Tiafoe enjoyed the three days that he got to spend with Team World at the 2022 Laver Cup, and he spoke about his teammates after their win in London.

Tiafoe is one of the players who enjoy the team atmosphere. He always manages to bring his best tennis to the Laver Cup and also hype up his teammates to increase their level.

Therefore, Team World was likely happy to have him this year, especially since he was the player who delivered the final point.

Tiafoe was also happy to spend some time with players who are usually his rivals on the ATP Tour. He spoke about being teammates with Tommy Paul and Taylor Fritz, who he knows very well.

"I think everyone has their kind of funny stuff. Everyone gets pretty chill, to be honest with you. Tommy [Paul], [Taylor] Fritz and I know each other for so long, so we have joked for years. Then you have couple other guys. It’s funny, because everyone is such a different personality."

Tiafoe also admitted that some players are more focused on winning the matches, while the Americans mostly enjoy the atmosphere and then try to bring a good vibe onto the court as well. He jokingly called himself and his American teammates "clowns."

"Felix [Auger-Aliassime] and Demon (Alex de Minaur) are much more, you know, in-tune and locked in on a day-to-day process, not that we are not, but they go about their business definitely different."
"You kind of let them do their thing. Then the American guys are just like being clowns and loud, talking bulls**t. It’s fun."

Eventually, it was Tiafoe who led Team World to overall victory at the 2022 Laver Cup when he defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas to earn 13th point for his team which was decisive.
