Iga Swiatek rebounded very well after her Ostrava Open final loss where Krejcikova proved better, to win the San Diego Open by beating Vekic.

After participating in nine finals, Swiatek earned her eighth trophy of the year recently in San Diego. She didn't require much to correct the errors from Ostrava and return to winning ways, which is what matters most. Swiatek, a perfectionist, offered her interpretation of the term, which has over time come to be associated with people who are driven by an incredible amount of obsession:

"I kind of stopped thinking that way," explained Swiatek who changed her perspective after last year's WTA Finals "The goal is not playing or feeling perfectly, but winning when you're not feeling perfect, or winning when you're not comfortable on court and you can't play with your intuition."

You "have to always change something. That is the key in tennis because we have so many conditions throughout the whole season, different balls, different racquet tensions" explained Swiatek further adding that finding a perfect feeling is really hard:

"Finding that perfect feeling is really hard. I feel like I had it maybe twice this season and that's still a lot. On the other tournaments it's just working through the times when you're not feeling perfect."
