Jannik Sinner continued his dominance at No. 1 in the latest ATP rankings, but Ben Shelton dropped significantly.

Sinner has been the world No. 1 since the end of the French Open. He overtook Novak Djokovic after winning the Australian Open, Rotterdam Open, and the Miami Open in the early months of the season.

The Italian extended that lead by beating Taylor Fritz in a one-sided US Open final and securing two more Masters-1000 titles at the Canadian Open and Shanghai Masters.

Those efforts put Sinner on 11,920 ranking points, 4,800 points ahead of Carlos Alcaraz at No. 2. There was no change to the number of points for either man in the latest rankings.

Sinner's played at the Six Kings Slam last week, an exhibition event in Saudi Arabia with no ranking points on offer. However, the 23-year-old won an incredible $6 million for beating Alcaraz in the final.

There were no ranking changes among the Top 8 players. Alexander Zverev remains at No. 3, Novak Djokovic at No. 4, and Daniil Medvedev, who also lost to Sinner in Saudi Arabia last week, is at No. 5.

Grigor Dimitrov rose one place from No. 10 to No. 9 after reaching the final of the Stockholm Open. He was the runner-up to Tommy Paul, who is No. 12 in this week's rankings.

Dimitrov and Paul still have a chance of qualifying for the ATP Finals after their efforts in Stockholm. Paul trails Andrey Rublev, who occupies the final qualifying spot, by 485 points, while Dimitrov is 520 points behind Rublev.

Alex de Minaur fell one place to No. 10. The Australian played his first tournament since the US Open at the European Open in Antwerp, losing to Hugo Gaston in three sets. He is also still in the hunt for a place at the ATP Finals.

Casper Ruud and Rublev's failure to have deep runs in Stockholm gave Dimitrov and Paul additional hope of making the ATP Finals and also handed Djokovic a massive boost, who is now in a great position to qualify for the year-end tournament.

Ben Shelton, who said playing against Rafael Nadal in his final singles match would be a nightmare, fell six places from No. 17 to No. 23 after dropping the points he earned from winning the Japan Open last year.

Shelton played at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown last week alongside others such as Gael Monfils, who also plummeted in the rankings from No. 41 to No. 52 after not defending the points he earned for winning the 2023 Stockholm Open.

Spanish veteran Roberto Bautista Agut jumped 15 places from No. 60 to No. 45 after the 36-year-old's stunning run to the European Open title. He upset Jiri Lehecka in Sunday's final.

Other ATP ranking changes this week include Felix Auger-Aliassime re-entering the Top 20 at No. 19, Denis Shapovalov dropping even further to No. 95, and Gabriel Diallo rising an impressive 31 places from No. 118 to No. 87 after reaching the final of the Almaty Open.
