Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are two of the biggest rivals that ever competed on the ATP Tour but also very good friends.
Every tennis fan remembers an emotional picture of the Swiss Maestro holding hands with the Spaniard during his retirement, showing an incredible respect, admiration and friendship between the two of them. Therefore, it's not a surprise that once Rafael Nadal also retires from tennis, we can expect much more from these two.
Currently, the 22-time Grand Slam champion travels with Casper Ruud around South America as he wants to bring tennis to places where fans couldn't see it before. He would like to do something very similar also with his friend Roger Federer as he recently hinted.
“We have lived a very nice rivalry and I hope that we can do a joint tour in which we play against each other in places that could not enjoy our history,” Nadal said per Puntodebreak.
It seems that the Swiss Maestro shares his opinion and they maybe also talked about it already, as he said: "I want to go and play in places I've never been and thank the fans who have supported me throughout my career, that's all I want. My intention is also to organize exhibitions but it is still too early, unfortunately," said Federer.
