Novak Djokovic's Outfit For 2024 Indian Wells Masters Revealed

by Nurein Ahmed

Novak Djokovic is returning to action at the Indian Wells Masters next month wearing a brand new outfit.

The 2024 Indian Wells Masters will officially kick off on March 6th and will be played for a fortnight. It is one of the most prestigious tournaments on the men's calendar. Djokovic has dominated this event in the past, winning it on five occasions.

From the first reveal, Djokovic will wear the same outfit design as that at the Australian Open, but it will be a different color. The 24-time Grand Slam champion's clothing sponsor, Lacoste, has produced a green polo with a shade of dark cyan on the side seams.

His shorts are also in dark cyan. Djokovic's choice of shoes or colorway has not been revealed yet, as that is being taken care of by ASICS, the Japanese sportswear company.

The World No. 1 is currently tied with Roger Federer for the most titles in the desert, and it is one of the reasons the Serb is coming back to Indian Wells to set the record for himself. Djokovic last played this tournament in 2019, losing in the third round to Philipp Kohlschreiber.

The 36-year-old has missed every subsequent edition (except the 2020 tournament, which was canceled, and the 2021 tournament, which he skipped due to scheduling complications) because he was not vaccinated against COVID-19. The United States government lifted that restriction last May.

It came a little late because Djokovic tried to submit a waiver request last year, but it was rejected, and he had to withdraw from the tournament. This year, he will have the chance to add a sixth title to his trophy cabinet.

Indian Wells is set to be Djokovic's first tournament since surrendering his Australian Open title defense in the semifinal. He lost to Jannik Sinner in four sets and missed Serbia's Davis Cup qualifying defeat to Slovakia. Djokovic also chose not to participate in all ATP tournaments in February, including the Dubai Championships.
