Nick Kyrgios ended his 2022 season early after he was forced to withdraw from multiple events.

Kyrgios enjoyed the best career season in 2022. He played in the final of the Wimbledon Championships, and earlier in the year, he also won the doubles title at the Australian Open.

His doubles triumph at the Australian Open alongside Thanasi Kokkinakis guaranteed the 27-year-old Australian a spot at the ATP Finals in the doubles event.

Kyrgios usually doesn't play a lot during this part of the season, as he has never played at the Paris Masters before. This year, however, he signed up for the tournament in the French capital, and he also added the Swiss Indoors in Basel to his schedule.

However, Kyrgios withdrew from the Paris Masters, and he also added a withdrawal from the Swiss Indoors in Basel, which means that he ended his singles season early.

With these two withdrawals, it's starting to look increasingly likely that the Australian might not even travel to Europe at the end of the season. However, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist could still play the 2022 ATP Finals. The tournament is set to take place from November 13th until 20th in Turin, Italy.

But at the moment, that's very unlikely after his withdrawals from the tournaments in Basel and Paris. On the other hand, the Australian previously confirmed his participation and desire to compete at the year-end event, as he never played the tournament before.

That means his withdrawal from the Swiss Indoors in Basel and the Paris Masters may also hint that he wants to be in 100% shape for the ATP Finals.

As of now, it's sure that his 2022 season is over in singles, but he may still play at least three doubles matches if he travels to Italy for the ATP Finals.
