It seems that Nick Kyrgios won't be travelling to Europe and therefore end his season early in 2022 due to a knee injury.
The 27-years-old Australian was set to play at the Swiss Indoors in Basel as well as the Paris Masters that he never played before. However, he withdrew from both events resulting in an early season ending as there are no more ATP singles events that he could attended after the last ATP 1000 event in France.
However, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist could still play the 2022 ATP Finals, alongside Thanasi Kokkinakis, that are set to take place from November 13th until 20th in Turin, Italy.
Yet, that's very unlikely as Kyrgios withdrew from singles and also doubles at the events in Basel and Paris and it's not expected that he will travel to Europe just for one week at the ATP Finals.
On the other hand, the Australian previously confirmed his participation and desire to compete at the year-end event where he never played before and so his withdrawal from the Swiss Indoors in Basel and the Paris Masters may also hint that he wants to be in 100% shape for the ATP Finals.
Kyrgios will probably announce in the upcoming hours if he'll play in Turin. As of now, it's sure that his 2022 season is over in singles, but he may still play at least three doubles matches if he travels to Italy.
