Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis teamed up once again at the 2022 Cincinnati Masters and they started in style.
The Australian duo played in Atlanta two weeks ago and they managed to lift a trophy there. Now, Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis started their journey at the ATP 1000 event in Cincinnati against Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini.
The Australian duo didn't wait for anything and they started the first set with a break. Yet, that wasn't everything from Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis as they added two more breaks and eventually won the first set 6-0 in just 22 minutes.
In the second set, the Italian duo stepped up their game on serve but that wasn't enough to prevent Kyrgios and Kokkinakis from breaking them again. Eventually, the 2022 Australian Open champions won 6-0, 6-4 and set up a second-round clash with the first-seeded Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury.
