Felix Auger-Aliassime has performed well at recent Grand Slam events, and the Canadian is growing increasingly confident ahead of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships.

Auger-Aliassime has been in good form leading up to the Wimbledon Championships, especially when he recently played against Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal in the Hurlingham Club.

After losing to the Serbian, he managed to beat two-time Wimbledon champion, Rafael Nadal and the young Canadian can take plenty of positives from the exhibition tournament to the All England Club.

Moreover, the 21-year-old has been pushing at the recent Grand Slam events in 2021 and 2022 as he keeps improving at the ATP level. In January 2022, Auger-Aliassime produced his best-ever run at the Australian Open by reaching the quarter-finals.

This followed his best major performance to date when he made the US Open semi-finals in 2021 before losing to eventual winner Daniil Medvedev.

The young player's improvements have impressed many over the past 18 months, and Auger-Aliassime will hope to go further than the quarter-final stages at Wimbledon, where he was eliminated last season.

Before the 2022 Wimbledon, Auger-Aliassime spoke to The Guardian and revealed how he has improved recently and how he wants to bring these details into the upcoming major.

"Growing up, my dad was coaching me. I would just listen to what he had to say and I would just execute. From the ages of 17, 18, time after time I was able to think more about what I want to do with my game and what I need to improve and actually have an idea myself of what I need to work on even when we go to practices."

"I have more clarity of the player I want to be and the improvements I need to do on the court in order to reach my full potential."

"At the end of the day, these last two grand slams have been very positive for me. I’ve shown great things. And I think it just means that I’m closer and closer to my goal."
