Novak Djokovic will play the 2022 Laver Cup, with the Serbian completing the 'Big Four' line up at the event.
With Bjorn Borg heading up Team Europe once again, the Swede has understandably chosen the strongest players possible to line up against Team World.
With Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal already signed up for the event, Serbian Novak Djokovic is the latest to be recruited for the team in blue for what promises to be a weekend festival of tennis.
That is not all who will be gracing the courts at London's O2 Arena, with local hero Andy Murray being named in Borg's squad. This is first time that all members of the 'Big Four' will be joining forces to fight against Team World.
Speaking in response to this formidable line-up, Borg was keen to stress how happy he is with the team he has been able to assemble what with everyone's busy schedules at this time of the year, explaining how he reckons their chances:
"I don’t think I could have imagined having these four icons of the sport on one team together. I know they, like I, appreciate the significance of this moment and will be truly up for it. Each year our goal is to win. With Rafa, Roger, Andy and Novak on the team, I like our chances."
After being confirmed as Team Europe's latest member, 'Nole' revealed his reasons for joining forces with his all-time rivals:
“It’s the only competition where you can play in a team environment with guys that you’re normally competing against and to be joining Rafa, Roger and Andy – three of my biggest all-time rivals – it’s going to be a truly unique moment in the history of our sport."
The 2022 Laver Cup is the fifth edition of the tournament created in honour of everything Australian great Rod Laver has done for the sport, with the competition now entering its fifth year.
