The European clay court swing starts afresh in the first week of April with the ninth and possibly the last edition of the Estoril Open.
The ATP recently announced a raft of tournament changes for its 2025 calendar, in which some events will cease to operate on tour. However, no decision has been made so far about the Estoril Open, as talks of a license extension remain in the works.
In the meantime, organizers will look to put up another barnburner in Cascais, Portugal. The entry list and prize money details for this tournament have been released. In this article, you will find all the information you are seeking for the 2024 Estoril Open.
When Does The 2024 Estoril Open Start?
Qualifying will be played over two days, March 30th and 31st. The main draw action will run from Monday, April 1st, until Sunday, April 7th. The Esotirl Open is played on outdoor clay courts at the Clube de Ténis do Estoril in Cascais, Portugal.
Who Is Playing The 2024 Estoril Open?
Two top-10 players will headline this ATP 250 event in what could be the last-ever edition before it becomes defunct (negotiations with the ATP are currently ongoing).
Casper Ruud is returning to defend his title, but he is not the top seed. That tag is reserved for Hubert Hurkacz, who will seek an improved performance from last year's round of 16 exit.
Those two will not be the only contenders. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Lorenzo Musetti, Gael Monfils, and last year's finalist, Miomir Kecmanovic, will be looking to notch a scalp in a very open field.
What Is The Prize Money For The 2024 Estoril Open?
The tournament will commit €579,320 in total prize money, which is still lower than last year's purse. However, there will be increments in every round in the singles draw. The 2024 Estoril champion will earn €88,125 and receive 250 ranking points.
