Djokovic To Wear Personally-Designed Footwear Patched With His Grand Slam Record At US Open

Novak Djokovic will commemorate his first US Open match in two years by donning personalized sneakers spotting No. 23 on its mid-sole.

Earlier this month, Djokovic unveiled his outfit for the US swing sponsored by French designer brand Lacoste, as well as a new racket design from HEAD tennis. His sneakers were designed to match his outfit colors when he played at the Cincinnati Masters - a tournament he won by defeating World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz.

Djokovic's footwear sponsor is Asics. They have assembled his official US Open shoe by sewing the No. 23 on the sides of the midsole, to revel in his 23rd Grand Slam title win at this year's French Open when he defeated Casper Ruud in straight sets in the final.

The victory put Djokovic one major clear of closest rival Rafael Nadal and occupies uncharted territory in the men's leaderboard. Djokovic will bid to win his 24th Slam in the next fortnight and in the process equal Margaret Court's all-time Grand Slam record. A credible journalist shared the pictures of Djokovic's new sneakers on X.

" Novak Djokovic will take to the #USOpen courts with a '23' on his Asics Court FF3 Novak shoes representing the number of his major victories."

Djokovic also took to the courts at this year's Wimbledon donning an all-white shoe with a green Asics logo and the 23 mark on the midsole. It's not the first time that Djokovic has been spotted wearing specially designed apparel.

At the Australian Open, Djokovic wore a Lacoste custom-made jacket following his victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final with the No. 22 printed on the top to celebrate his 22nd major success, and he did so again after winning the French Open.

We're not sure if Djokovic had a No. 24 jacket in his wardrobe at this year's Wimbledon, but if that was the case, he might unveil it should he run the gauntlet in the next two weeks and win his third US Open trophy.
