Djokovic Launches New Sports Hydrating Drink Aimed At Improving Athletes' Well-Being

Novak Djokovic is famed for being a great tennis player, but he has now developed his own brand called "SILA by Novak Djokovic."

Less than two months ago, it was reported that the Serb was set to launch a sports hydrating drink while playing during the Australian swing. Indeed, those reports are true because Djokovic has collaborated with Waterdrop - a fast-growing hydration brand located in Austria, to work on wellness products.

Waterdrop was founded in 2015, with its central mission geared towards shaking up the beverage industry. Djokovic became an investor and ambassador of the company in early 2023. At the time, he said, "Becoming an athlete doesn’t just rely on talent and training, but also on the choices you make for your body."

Djokovic has been extremely vigilant about what he eats and drinks since making a career-altering move to change his diet back in 2010. Some of his drinks during tennis matches tend to spark curiosity among tennis fans, but he has been transparent when questioned about it.

It felt inevitable that at some point in his career, Djokovic would be interested in sharing some of his wisdom and the secret of his success. The launch of SILA has been in the making for over a decade, and the 36-year-old spoke on the official website of his partner company about the product.

"The idea to create Sila, started more than 10 years ago. I started being more disciplined, passionate and relentless about finding the best ways to improve myself both on and off the court."

"I was so inspired by the overall wellness state I was in and how it was affecting my performance, that I decided to look into creating my own brand that could enrich people’s lives the same way it did mine."

As part of the product description, SILA by Novak Djokovic wasn't just an overnight product but a result of many years of research. It comes in the form of Electrolyte Hydration Cubes, which are small and sugar-free and instantly add a splash of fruity flavor to water.

Each cube combines the power of nature and the clarity of science as written in its product description and has three flavors: watermelon, grapefruit, and melon. The product will be available for pre-order on January 14, 2024, when the Australian Open commences.
