Ahead of the first Grand Slam of this season, players will compete in a new mixed event called the United Cup.
The first United Cup will be played in the beginning of the 2023 season and feature some of the top players from the ATP and WTA Tours. Some of the top athletes in the world will compete in the mixed United Cup, which will be held in Brisbane, Perth, and Sydney from December 29 through January 8.
During the United Cup, up to 500 ATP and WTA Rankings points as well as $15 million in prize money are up for grabs. Six groups were created out of the initial 18 participating countries and now the schedule of play is also known.
Nick Kyrgios' Australia and Rafael Nadal's Spain are set to meet in Group D as tie between Spain and Australia is scheduled on the 2nd of January 2023 during the night session. Kyrgios and Nadal should start at 7PM in Sydney (GMT+11).
But that isn't the only interesting match scheduled. In Brisbane, Matteo Berrettini will take on Casper Ruud on the 3rd of January as Hubert Hurkacz will meet Stan Wawrinka on the same day and in the same arena during the night session.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Grigor Dimitrov will be set for clash in Perth on the 29th of December as Borna Coric and Diego Schwartzman will meet only two days later. The Greek will then also play against Belgium's David Goffin.
In Sydney, Kyrgios and Nadal will both play also against Cameron Norrie as the Australian will play his match on the 29th of December and the Spaniard two days later. Taylor Fritz and Alexander Zverev will face off in Sydney on the 2nd of January as Paula Badosa and Ajla Tomljanovic will also meet one day later.
