The inaugural United Cup will take place at the start of the 2023 season with some of the biggest names from the ATP & WTA Tours competing at this team competition.
The United Cup will take place in Brisbane, Perth, and Sydney from December 29th until January 8th and include some of the best athletes in the world.
Up to 500 ATP and WTA Rankings points will be available for players to win, along with $15 million in prize money. The first 16 participating nations were drawn into six groups, with two more that will join later.
Group A will be played in Perth, and the top-seeded Greece, with Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari, will take on Belgium and one more team that will be announced after the ATP season is finished.
In Group B in Brisbane, World No. 1 Iga Swiatek and her compatriot Hubert Hurkacz from Poland will face three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka and Olympic Gold Medalist Belinda Bencic from Switzerland.
United States, led by Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, and Jessica Pegula, will be in Group C in Sydney, with Germany, led by Alexander Zverev, and the Czech Republic, with Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova.
Group D will be the most interesting for Australian fans and many tennis fans as well. The 22-time Grand Slam champion, Rafael Nadal, will represent Spain and will participate in Group D in Sydney as the Spaniards will face the host nation led by Nick Kyrgios. Great Britain with Cameron Norrie will also be in this group.
Group E will be played in Brisbane and Italy will be the biggest favourite to win it. Led by Matteo Berrettini, Italians will meet Brazil and Norway with Casper Ruud. In Group F in Perth, France will take on Croatia and Argentina.
