Defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas is playing really well right now, but so is Casper Ruud; what happens when they meet each other at the 2024 Los Cabos Open?
The 2023 Los Cabos Open was won comfortably by Tsitsipas. The Greek had no problems winning the ATP 250 event last year, and so far, his run hasn't been that different this year.
He cruised comfortably in the opening match and did the same in the second match, though it wasn't that convincing. Ruud has bested both of his opponents in Los Cabos so far and looks very comfortable in somewhat slower conditions.
Both of these players know each other well, so there won't be any surprise in their matchup. A final is at stake, so expect both to play motivated.

Tsitsipas and Ruud technically played four matches, but one was an exhibition, and the other was a futures match many years ago. That's why they don't really count in the official stats.
We're going to count them here, and that's why Tsitsipas leads 3-1. The Greek has generally found it easy to beat Ruud, but he hasn't played on that level for a while, and Ruud has looked really sharp this week.
It wouldn't be that shocking to see the Norwegian win this matchup and there are several reasons for that.

Prediction:
When it truly comes down to it, I think Ruud is not that much of a worse hitter than Tsitsipas. His two-handed backhand certainly creates some pressure, and there are ways to attack the Greek.
The serve is one thing Tsitsipas could use to shift the balance of power to his side, but generally, there is not much separation between them. I'll go for the upset here because I think Ruud is playing really strong right now.
Prediction: Casper Ruud to win in two sets.
