Carlos Alcaraz will try to keep his 2024 Roland Garros run going against a very tricky Felix Auger-Aliassime, who has bested him before.
The Spaniard admitted that he was finally comfortable using maximum power on his forehand after the win over Sebastian Korda, which is bad news for everybody else in the draw of the 2024 French Open.
The Spaniard is a different player when he can rip one from all positions. It causes the other players to think about changing their play. Auger-Alissime will be aware of Alcaraz's admission and his general quality.
The Spaniard looked really strong in his last match against Sebastian Korda, so expect the Canadian to be on high alert.
He himself had a tremendous showing, but his opponent, Ben Shelton, greatly contributed to that. It's hard to properly gauge at which level Auger-Aliassime currently sits, but he's playing at a pretty decent one regardless.
Head-to-head:
Auger-Aliassime and Alcaraz have played a few times so far, and the Canadian leads the H2H 3-2. That's pretty amazing, considering that it's against one of the biggest talents of this upcoming generation, but it has to be noted that the Spaniard won the latest two matches, both played in Indian Wells.
It's a bit of a slower court, which shows that Alcaraz should have the advantage on a clay court. He's generally a far better player on clay, which adds to that. He's also looked sharper in Paris so far.

Prediction:
Alcaraz is the far better player on clay, and with this forehand seemingly good to go, it's pretty hard to see him lose this match. Auger-Aliassime can give him some trouble if he finds his best serving performance, but the world no. 3 should have solutions for that.
