Carlos Alcaraz was given the green light after undergoing minor knee tests following due to some pain in the area.

The Spaniard last competed at the 2022 Swiss Indoors in Basel, where he reached the semifinals of the ATP 500 tournament before falling to Felix Auger-Aliassime, who went on to win the competition.

However, soon injury worries arose, as the teenager was supposedly struggling with an injury. According to the latest reports, he underwent knee testing on Monday due to some pain that he experienced during the match with Auger-Aliassime.

Alcaraz was worried after continuing to have pain while practicing in Paris, according to the newspaper AS in his native Spain. He decided to participate this week because he will start only on Wednesday, giving him an extra day off to recover.

Ahead of the tournament, the Spanish player spoke to press, and reassured everyone that he has only "little problems" which should not prevent him from competing in the last ATP 1000 tournament of the season.

"Well, just some a little problems. You know, I'm going to say as every player at the end of the year have problems in their bodies, you know, and you have to play with that just a little bit. But not too serious."

According to Alcaraz, who will be the top seed in Paris, the majority of the players are struggling with some kind of discomfort during this part of the season, as tennis season is incredibly long and difficult to go through without an injury.

Alcaraz also has a chance to finish the season as the world no. 1, but when asked about the pressure, and challenge from Novak Djokovic, the recent 2022 US Open champion didn't seem to be too bothered.

"Well, I don't feel the pressure. I just put that goal myself, you know, to end as the No. 1. But of course is really tough one. There is great players behind me, and, yeah, they have the chances, as well."
