As the last ATP Masters 1000 tournament on clay is coming to an end, players will start focusing on the second Grand Slam of the season - Roland Garros, as Alexander Zverev named some of the favourites.

Alexander Zverev has been playing really well on clay lately, but after playing the final in Madrid, he lost in the semifinals of the 2022 Italian Open to Stefanos Tsitsipas. When he was previously asked about Rafael Nadal's chances of winning his 22nd Grand Slam title after getting injured, the German remained shocked as he didn't know about the injury.

“I didn't know that Rafa got injured. I'm sorry. That explains the third set a little bit. Yeah, I feel sorry for Rafa. Hopefully he can be fit. He has 10 days' time to be able to play in Paris. Look, I think Alcaraz is one of the favorites. Novak is one of the favorites. Tsitsipas. If I get in form, I can do well there. There's a lot of guys that can play well on this surface.”

According to Zverev, alongside Rafael Nadal there are a lot of favourites including Carlos Alcaraz, who won one ATP Masters 1000 title on clay, Novak Djokovic, who is playing back-to-back semifinals at the ATP Masters 1000 events and also Stefanos Tsitsipas who triumphed in Monte Carlo. Moreover, he believes that he could be also one of the favourites if he hits his top form.
