The 2023 Swiss Open Gstaad is one of the first clay-court tournaments in the second part of the season and it runs from July 17th to 23rd.

The clay is a preferred surface of many player's and therefore it's not a surprise that the entry list for the ATP 250 tournament, played at the Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad, Switzerland, is full of players who want to return to the red dirt after the grass swing.

Last year, Casper Ruud successfully defended his title in Gstaad, but the Norwegian won't try to complete the three-peat as he chose to compete at the tournament in Bastad, which is held at the same time but in Sweden.

Without a defending champion, the field at the 2023 Swiss Open Gstaad opened up and Felix Auger-Aliassime was supposed to be one of the players that wanted to take advantage of that. However, the Canadian withdrew from the tournament, and so the favourites are now the likes of Jan-Lennard Struff, Roberto Bautista Agut, and also Denis Shapovalov.

But what makes the tournament, which was founded already back in 1915, really interesting are the three wild card recipients. One of them is talented home player Dominic Stricker, and the other two are Grand Slam champions Stan Wawrinka and Dominic Thiem, who will certainly attract a lot of fans.

Joining them on the entry list are also Jiri Lehecka, Lorenzo Sonego, and Miomir Kecmanovic, but the list of possible contenders is long, so make sure to check the full entry list for the 2023 Swiss Open Gstaad below.
