The 2023 Swiss Indoors will run from October 23rd to 29th in Basel, Switzerland, and will complement its stronger entry list with a record prize money for the event.

For the third time in the tournament's history, the total prize money will cross the €2 million mark. This year's total amounts to €2,196,000, which is a marginal increase of €60,650 from last year's pouch when Felix Auger-Aliassime bagged the title.

So, this year's prize money is the biggest in the tournament's history where the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Holger Rune, and Casper Ruud will be prime favorites to collect the winner's paycheck. Along with Taylor Fritz, the quartet will be the Top 10 representatives in Basel.

But expect competition in full force. Former finalist Alex de Minaur is playing in Basel and conquered the ATP 500 field earlier this season and could see this as an opportunity to amass more wealth. Poland's Hubert Hurkacz is a player who thrives on indoor conditions and can be trusted to embark on a late-season surge when he jets in Switzerland.

There are some talented names who could make quite the splash in the Rhine River city. These are Sebastian Korda, Sebastian Baez and Alexander Bublik. Baez is probably on the most intriguing of those names, having adjusted to hard courts rather seamlessly this year and even won a title at Winston-Salem.

In terms of prize money and points allocation, the champion in Basel will be rewarded enormously, earning €410,660 in prize money and 500 in points. The runner-up will make €220,950 in addition to 300 ranking points.

Those players who fall at the semi-final stage will be awarded 180 points and will make a six-figure income worth €117,760. Quarterfinalists should expect to receive 90 points and €60,165 in their bank accounts.

Second-rounders will get 45 points and €32,115. While those players who fail to win a single main draw match will leave the Swiss city with €17,130, but won't get any ranking points.
