Fans in Banja Luka will have a unique chance to see an ATP 250 tournament as the draw was released for the 2023 Srpska Open.
From April 17th to 23rd some of the best players in the world will meet at the Nacionalni teniski centar Republike Srpske. The tournament will be attended by the world no. 1 Novak Djokovic and the Serb alongside with his brother Djordje, who is the tournament director, put together a great field.
The first-seeded Djokovic will start his tournament against the winner of the match between Luca Van Assche and three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka. Already in the second round, fans in Banja Luka can see a really blockbuster with 25 major titles in one match.
On the other side of the draw, the second-seeded Andrey Rublev will start his preparations for a possible final meeting with the Serbian superstar. The Russian will start against the winner of the match between Hugo Gaston and Juan Pablo Varillas.
Gael Monfils will return to the tennis courts again after a short injury hiatus. The Frenchman received a wild card and he will play against the sixth-seeded Jiri Lehecka from the Czech Republic in the first round.
Another Frenchman in the draw, veteran Richard Gasquet is the seventh-seeded and he will play against former Roland Garros semifinalist Marco Cecchinato. The draw includes a lot of interesting matchups and so be sure to check it out in full below.
