The 2023 Italian Open is right around the corner and the draw was revealed for the ATP 1000 tournament that will be played in Rome.

From May 10th to 21st, the best of the best will meet in the Italian capital for the last ATP Masters 1000 tournament before heading to Paris for the Roland Garros. One day after the WTA draw, we got to know also the draw for the men's competition and it promises a lot of spectacular duels.

Last year, Novak Djokovic won the title at Foro Italico and after missing the event in Madrid, he's back as the top seed at the tournament. As with all seeded players, he has a bye in the first round and will begin his journey against Luca van Assche or Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the second round.

The second-seeded Carlos Alcaraz will want to follow up on his Madrid triumph on his debut in Rome. The Spaniard will start his campaign in the Italian capital against the winner of the match between Francesco Passaro and Albert Ramos Vinolas.

One of the players to watch is certainly also last year's finalist and player that usually does well on the clay courts, Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek is the fourth seed and he will clash with Dusan Lajovic or Nuno Borges in the second round.

On the other hand, Daniil Medvedev isn't really a fan of clay courts, but paradoxically, his 300th professional win came on the red dirt and he will try to add to that in Rome. In the second round, the third seed will meet either Ugo Humbert or Emil Ruusuvuori.

The fourth-seeded Casper Ruud will want to forget the bad start of the season and there's no better place than Rome for that. The Norwegian will want to pass an early second-round test that could see him face Arthur Rinderknech or a qualifier.

Holger Rune will be also one of the players to watch as the young Dane will play against one of the qualifiers, but the eyes of the home fans will be on the eighth-seeded Jannik Sinner. The Italian will start against Jaume Munar or a qualifier.

The 2023 Italian Open Rome Masters offers a lot of great first and second-round matchups and if you want to see the full draw for the last clay-court ATP 1000 event, be sure to check it in full below.
