"We have talked" - Korpatsch Takes Down Post Where She Slammed Tan

Tamara Korpatsch absolutely ripped into Harmony Tan on Wednesday after the Frenchwoman withdrew from their doubles match together at Wimbledon. However, Korpatsch has already retracted those comments.

On Tuesday, Tan stunningly defeated Serena Williams on Center Court in the women's singles. It was the 23-time Grand Slam champion's first match in 12 months, but Tan held her nerve to win the contest 7-5 in the third set.

The Frenchwoman was scheduled to play doubles the following day with Korapatsch, but she withdrew from her match with the German after her long battle with Williams.

Korpatsch was furious with Tan, claiming she only informed her about withdrawing one hour before their match together was scheduled to begin. The German felt she did not deserve to be treated like that.

She also made other pointed comments about Tan, saying players who could not play the day after a three-hour match should not be professional and also said Tan asked to play with her before the tournament.

Korpatsch's anger made it seem like the pair's relationship was beyond repair. However, the German has made a dramatic u-turn, saying the two had spoken and asking people on social media not to abuse Tan.

Me and Harmony have talked and figured out all [our] misunderstandings. She made me clear about her injury now and we already apologised to each other. [Due to this] fact I will delete my previous post regarding this situation. And I will ask [you] not to write bad comments to her, don't want want her to get insults! Hope for your understanding.

Korpatsch on Tan

It is good to see this matter being resolved constructively. The ferocity of Korpatsch's initial post was quite surprising, and she now seems to realize that.

Despite her injury, Tan has not withdrawn from the singles. It looks like she was being cautious by not playing doubles to give herself the best chance possible in the next round against Sara Sorribes Tormo.
