On Tuesday, Serena Williams announced that she will be playing at the 2022 Wimbledon as a wild-card and on Thursday she already landed in London.
Travelling to Grand Slam tournaments is much different now for Serena Williams than it used to be a decade ago. Now, the 23-time Grand Slam champion always has a companion travelling with her, daughter Olympia. Both already arrived in London as Serena will start her preparation for the 2022 Wimbledon in Eastbourne.
Wimbledon is one of the Grand Slam tournaments where Serena Williams enjoyed the most success as she triumphed in the All England Club seven times in singles, six times in doubles and once in mixed doubles.
In 2022, she will be making her comeback to the WTA Tour as she didn't play since last year's Wimbledon and it will be at the third Grand Slam tournament of the year where the American will attempt to win her 24th Grand Slam title.
