Toxic relationships between coaches or fathers and female tennis players are a really big topic on the WTA Tour, but the latest incident was something tennis world never witnessed before.
Previously, many players explained difficulties they experienced with their coaches and some of them admitted they were also victims of violence. However, a recent footage from an unknown clay-court shows a brutal assault of a father who attacked his daughter on a tennis court. Incident was filmed and people recording also tried to stop him by shouting when things got serious.
Igor Juric, who is a famous public figure in Croatia shared a video on his Instagram profile with a caption stating: "Another brutal violence from a father against his daughter. I was informed that this is a family coming from China. We will be filing criminal charges against this monster as well." Soon, former world no. 1, Victoria Azarenka noticed his post and shared it one her story with a caption:
"I don't know who this person is... but wtf is this?!? People filming for this long without intervening. Absolute disgrace... And it happens so much there has to accountability... Please report who this person is if somebody knows."
