Mirra Andreeva played some really solid tennis at the 2023 World Tennis League, and no rally demonstrated that better than the one in doubles against Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The second time Stefanos Tsisipas and Paula Badosa teamed up at the World Tennis League was against Mirra Andreeva and Daniil Medvedev. They won the previous time they played together and then added a second win in that match; however, the highlight belonged to tennis phenom Mirra Andreeva.

The Russian essentially played the whole rally on her own against both Tsitsipas and Badosa, but mostly the Greek player. No matter what he tried, she had an answer, and ultimately, after exchanging top spins for a while, Andreeva was able to win the point for her team.

It was a pretty big point late in the set and at 15-15. If Andreeva and Medvedev had lost that point, they would have been in a tricky situation at a crucial point of the match. Ultimately, they lost the match, but Andreeva gained valuable experience by playing at the event.

She spoke about how nervous she was after her team ultimately prevailed in the final of the event, beating the Kites after five matches. She proved crucial in the final delivery points for her team, together with Sofia Kenin against Badosa, no less.

This match was the first doubles of that day, but the crucial one happened a bit later. She and Kenin were down 2-5, having to save match points at that time to ultimately win the match 7-5. That turnaround was the crucial one that allowed her team to win.

When it comes to the rally itself, well, we have it for you in video. Check out the 16-year-old taking on one of the best players in the world directly. Paradoxically, it was Andreeva who got to take on male player in singles only recently.
