The 2023 Billie Jean King Cup Finals know the final lineup and also the host city with the final announcement.

Last year's winners Switzerland, as well as the runners-up Australia were granted a direct entry into the 2023 Billie Jean King Cup Finals thanks to their last year's participation. 18 teams then fought for 9 more spots in the qualifying and with one more left to complete a 12-country line-up, a wild card had to be given to one of the countries.

The ITF made a decision to award a wild card for the 2023 Billie Jean King Cup Finals to Poland, who were eliminated by Kazakhstan in the qualifying rounds. Iga Swiatek couldn't help her country to make it to the Finals due to an injury, but hopefully, she will be able to compete in November.

The 2023 Billie Jean King Cup Finals will run from November 7th to 12th and Seville in Spain will host the event as the annual team competition will see the WTA stars play the final event in Spain for the first time since 2008.

Along with last year's finalists and Poland as a wild card, fans will have a chance to witness Canada, who booked their spot thanks to heroics from Leylah Fernandez, the United States, who will be probably led by Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula after they secured their qualification, and also aforementioned Elena Rybakina's Kazakhstan.

Also Spain, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Germany, and Slovenia made it to the Finals, completing a very interesting line up of teams that will be distributed into four groups of three with the group winners advancing to the semifinals.

David Haggerty, the ITF President, was very happy to announce that the 2023 Billie Jean King Cup Finals will be played in Seville, stating that it will provide a perfect setting for the competition.

"Following a competitive bidding process and some impressive proposals from a number of potential hosts, we are delighted to announce Seville as the host of this year’s Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Finals. We are very confident the city will stage a fantastic event and do justice to what is the culmination of a year’s worth of exhilarating competition in the women’s World Cup of Tennis."

"I am sure Seville will provide the perfect setting for the electric atmosphere of the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, and I am looking forward to seeing supporters from around the world joining us for this unique occasion. Throughout the various stages of the event this year we have seen how much it means to players to represent their countries, and I have no doubt that passion will be on show again in Seville."

He also announced that the ITF wants to bring both Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup Juniors Finals to another Spanish city, Cordoba.

"We are also looking forward to bringing the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup Juniors Finals to Cordoba later this year. Both events give young tennis players a fantastic opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of playing in a team for their country, and Cordoba will be a great setting for that experience."
