Swiatek, Sabalenka & Raducanu Set To Return To Porsche Tennis Grand Prix In Stuttgart

The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart has grown into a very popular event as Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and Emma Raducanu have already signed up for the event in 2024.

Whether it's the fancy car you can win or the 500 status, it really doesn't matter. What matters is that the event consistently delivers a great experience from a logistical standpoint, and the endorsement of so many players signing up for it proves that quite well.

To be completely fair, Swiatek and Raducanu are both sponsored by Porsche, who is the main sponsor of this event, so the fact that they signed up might be contractually obliged.

The Brit's affinity to not miss the event under any circumstances certainly contributes to that notion. It was the last event she played last year before calling time on her season to undergo triple surgery.

In any case, it will be the third time Raducanu has played at the event (2022 l. to Swiatek in the QF), 2023 (l. to Ostapenko 2-6 1-6 in R1). For Sabalenka, it's been a good experience as well, as she made the final three years in a row.

The first one came against Ashleigh Barty, a 6-3 0-6 3-6 loss, with the 2nd and 3rd coming against Swiatek. The score was 6-2 6-2 in 2022 and 6-3 6-4 in 2023.

Swiatek has loved playing in Stuttgart and will soon run out of room to house all the Porsche cars she will win in the coming years. The event has just been that good to her as she won it back-to-back, beating Sabalenka both times in the past two years.

They all join German veteran Angelique Kerber, who already signed up for the event weeks ago, and she too is a former champion, winning the trophies in back-to-back years (2015, 2016). So keep your eyes on April when the event will be played, April 13th till the 21st.
