Iga Swiatek Joins Emma Raducanu In Porsche Family

Iga Swiatek will join fellow WTA player Emma Raducanu as a Porsche ambassador after the latest move.

On the WTA Tour, players have a chance to compete for one car from the famous German car brand. At the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, the winner gets a brand new car, and the young Pole managed to do that already twice in her career.

The last time Swiatek won the Porsche was in 2023, and she almost didn't get it as awarded as her final opponent, Aryna Sabalenka hilariously pretended to smash the car with the runner-up trophy.

But after her recent triumph in Stuttgart where she already managed to win her second Porsche, the World No. 1 admitted that she often gets asked about why she's not yet part of the Porsche team. Well, as she announced, now she is.

"After I got my 2nd trophy in Stuttgart many of you wrote that it is a good moment to start a collab with Porsche and it seems very natural to me. So… guess what. I’m joining Team Porsche! And it doesn’t mean I won’t be fighting for another Porsche car in Stuttgart next year."

Hilariously joking that even despite being part of the team now and collaborating with the brand, she will compete at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix also next year, unless something changes over the course of the following 12 months.

This is not the first time Porsche has sponsored a tennis player; the company has a long-standing tradition of backing talented athletes, with British sensation Emma Raducanu already in their ranks.

Raducanu was often seen driving her Porsche and she has also experienced quite a few events, having a chance to drive the car on the track or be driven by a professional driver that let her experience the real speed.
