The 23-time Grand Slam champion is getting in shape ahead of the 2022 Wimbledon as Serena Williams and Ons Jabeur won another match at the 2022 Eastbourne International.
After defeating Marie Bouzkova and Sara Sorribes Tormo, the new doubles duo, Serena Williams and Ons Jabeur took on doubles specialists, Shuko Aoyama and Hao-Ching Chan in the quarterfinals of the 2022 Eastbourne International.
Throughout the match, Williams and Jabeur kept firing aces as they hit a total of 7 during the two sets. In the first set, the duo that was heavily cheered on by the home crowd didn't let Aoyama and Chan get anywhere close to breakpoints and they also broke their serve twice to win the first set 6-2 in just 26 minutes.
On the other hand, second set was much different. There was a total of 12 breakpoints out of which only 1 was converted. Williams and Jabeur were successful 9 times when facing breakpoints and used their third in the second set to win the match 6-2, 6-4 and set up semifinal against Aleksandra Krunic and Magda Linette.
