Elena Rybakina extended her winning streak once more, reaching the 2023 Miami Open semifinals.

The Kazakhstani player has recently donated part of her Wimbledon prize money to talented players in her country, and after receiving praise for her actions, Rybakina played her quarterfinal match at the 2023 Miami Open after beating Italy's Martina Trevisan in the quarterfinal match of the WTA 1000 tournament.

The Italian benefited from the withdrawal of Iga Swiatek, who would have been a big favourite to reach the quarterfinals in the top part of the draw. However, Rybakina is on an incredible winning streak, as she lost her last match in February and would prove to be too good for Trevisan.

In the first set, both players had chances to break, but eventually, Rybakina got the first break, leading 4-1 early in the set. However, her opponent created another chance to break in the seventh game, and a bit of luck helped her to come back for a moment.

One of Trevisan's groundstrokes jumped off the net cord twice and eventually landed on her opponent's side, erasing Rybakina's previous break. But the Kazakhstani broke once again and held her following serve, winning the first set 6-3, and gaining a one-set advantage in the match.

The Indian Wells champion increased the intensity even further in the second set. She didn't face any break points and broke her opponent in every return game, resulting in a perfect set from the player, who has extended her winning streak at the Sunshine Double even further.

After an hour and 12 minutes, Rybakina advanced to the 2023 Miami Open semifinals, where she will meet the winner of the match between the 3rd-seeded Jessica Pegula from the United States and the 27th-seeded Anastasia Potapova from Russia. Either of the opponents would be certainly a solid test for Rybakina.
