Raducanu Has 'Potential To Come Back To Top 10' According To Former Wimbledon Winner

Emma Raducanu hasn't played the best tennis since coming back, but according to a former Wimbledon champion, Marion Bartoli, she has what it takes.

It's been an interesting few weeks back on the WTA Tour for Raducanu. There is a mix of opinions out there in terms of whether she's actually been good or not. Playing weekly is certainly a very good thing for the Brit, as she has failed to do that continuously since becoming a professional.

At times, her tennis looked really good, but more generally, it has been a struggle. She admitted as much after her most recent match at the Qatar Open, where she endured a bagel.

It's early, of course, and expectations are that she'll get better with time, at least according to experts. One of those experts is former Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli, who fully believes that Raducanu can return to a Top 10 level.

Talking to Sky Sports after her most recent loss in Doha, Bartoli broke down the loss to Anhelina Kalinina and confirmed that she sees potential.

"I felt towards the end of the second set she was getting a little tired and they had two really long points when Emma was up 6-5 in the tie-break and you can see on the match point she was basically struggling physically, so it's all of that you have to take in."

"A huge debrief has to be done with her team as to what's going on now that she's been able to play a few tournaments back to back and really come up with a plan because you can see some of the shots are still there."

We'll see how next week goes for the Brith, and then the obvious test will be the Sunshine Double in March. If she doesn't find a really solid level by then, then maybe we can talk about sounding the alarms, but for now, Bartoli believes Top 10 comeback is possible.

"You can see that if she put it together she has absolutely the potential to come back in that top 10 but a lot of work needs to be done."
