Jessica Pegula is one of the players included in Netflix's Break Point, and ahead of the 2023 Wimbledon, she shared that she doesn't really like it.

Being a professional athlete is something that many tennis players excel in, however, turning into a movie star isn't really their cup of tea. Yet, with new TV shows such as the Netflix's Break Point, they sometimes have to be included as fans want to know more than they see on the tennis court.

The series had enormous success, and it's not a surprise that it recently returned with the second part, while the show was also renewed for the second season. That will be exactly the season in which also the highest-ranked American on the WTA Tour, Jessica Pegula, will be featured, and she spoke about it ahead of the third major of the season.

"No, I don't really particularly like it (smiling). I've actually decided, yeah, they're filming me here a little bit and in the U.S. But, like, I think mentally I had to make a commitment because I don't really like people following me."

Pegula, who recently recorded her 30th win of the season, shared that the fact that she doesn't like it currently doesn't mean it has something to do with the Netflix crew. It's more about the American not being comfortable with the cameras always around.

"Yeah, it's just weird. Hopefully I'll get used to it. I think I've gotten to know them a little bit more, which helps. It's nothing against the crew, I'm just not used to having, like, cameras follow me. Yeah, I think it's something, like, I wanted to do, but also if I'm going to do it, I want to commit full-time, okay, yes, you can film everything and stuff like that."

Eventually, the American reminded that it's also about her preferences. Once she has opted to be included in the series, she would like to commit to it full-time, however, that's something she's currently not able to do.

"As long as I'm in that mindset, then I don't mind at all. I think it was just more me committing to actually doing it. Yeah, we'll see."
