It looks like no one will be able to stop Iga Swiatek in the 2022 season as the young Pole recorded already her 27th victory in a row to move to the 2022 Italian Open final.

Before meeting Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals of the 2022 Italian Open in Rome, Iga Swiatek defeated Gabriela Ruse, Victoria Azarenka and Bianca Andreescu without losing a single set. The women's world number 1 skipped the 2022 Madrid Open, but in Rome she's showing her best tennis once again.

Swiatek started the match by winning 4 points in a row and breaking her opponent in the very first game. But in the next game, Sabalenka returned her the favour and took her service game back. However, that was the last time in the first set that the Belarusian had breakpoints as the world number 1 dominated the rest of the first set, converting 2 out of 3 breakpoints that she had and winning it 6-2 in just 31 minutes.

In the second set, the story was very similar. Swiatek started with a break and although Sabalenka had a chance to break her back also in this set, she didn't succeeded this time around and the young Pole took her chance to add one more break and get a quick 4-0 lead in the set. She didn't lose it then as she sprinted towards another comfortable victory 6-2, 6-1.

It was already 27th victory in a row for Iga Swiatek who will try to add her twenty-eighth against Ons Jabeur or Daria Kasatkina tomorrow in the final of the 2022 Italian Open in Rome.
