Coco Gauff revealed how she spends her free time in between her matches at the 2022 US Open.

The 18-year-old American will take on the seventeenth-seeded Caroline Garcia from France when challenging for her second semi-final appearance at a Grand Slam.

Gauff is one of the youngest players on the WTA Tour, and she's the youngest player in the Top 100 of the WTA Rankings. Therefore, she finds a bit different ways to distract herself than the majority of her older colleagues.

In the fourth round of the 2022 US Open, the teenager beat Shuai Zhang, 7-5, 7-5, and she was very happy about how she played.

"I'm super happy with how I played. It was mentally and physically a tough match. But I think that shows all the practice is coming together. I mean, there are some days you feel great about a shot, and there are some days you don't. Then you go back and fix it."
"I feel like practicing afterward has prepped me mentally for these long matches because I'm finishing a match, whether it's an easy win or a tough win or a tough loss, coming back out, I think, mentally is preparing me to play these second, weeks."

Gauff has already played one Grand Slam singles final in her career. It happened at this year's French Open, and she feels like it gave her a lot.

"I feel like French Open I proved to myself that I can do it. I practiced after a lot of matches in the French Open. It's been working for me, so I keep going."

The teenage American was also asked how she spends her free time while competing in New York. She admitted that she spends a lot of time on TikTok, which is probably not something that many of her colleagues do.

"I just scroll on TikTok all day, to be honest, and I like set screen time for myself, but I have been putting in the password every time, so I haven't been following it."
