Emma Raducanu faced various challenges in 2022 but eventually, she managed to win 17 matches on the WTA Tour and finish in Top 75 of the WTA Rankings.

After winning her maiden Grand Slam title at the last year's US Open, the young British player carried a lot of expectations on her back towards the 2022 season. Although, some may say that she didn't fulfil those expectations after dropping from 10th place all they way to 75th, Raducanu sees nothing but positives.

“What motivates me to keep training is the satisfaction feeling I get after training and at the end of the day. I feel really proud for pushing myself, even if I might not have felt like it,” Raducanu said. “I’m really looking forward to another full year on tour. I just had my first one, and taking the lessons I’ve learnt this year and applying them on to the next one.”

In 2023, Raducanu will certainly want to move up the order again. She doesn't defend a lot of points and she should be eligible to qualify for all Grand Slam tournaments, so chances of another sensational triumph are quite realistic. During a recent fan interaction, she spoke about various topics, such as her favourite player:

“I’d say, my favorite tennis idol is Li Na. I loved her intensity and athleticism,” she conveyed. She also spoke about her favourite snack after training, confessing: “My favorite snack after training, is a bit out there, maybe two boiled egg whites.” And also her favourite places from this season: “My favorite place to play tennis in the world – tournament is Seoul, and training is Singapore.”
