Maria Sakkari has been often criticized for her performances in key moments and but she fired back after the latest round of it came this week in Parma.
Maria Sakkari won a couple of tight matches this week and will compete in the Parma final tomorrow. She has had trouble in the past with winning close matches, and she has received a lot of criticism for it with a recent round coming after she barely survived against Rus.
"WTA level is very high. I disagree with Twitter "journalists" that have no life and just criticize players." said Sakkari after her win over Rus earlier this week. The Greek player doesn't take lightly to the criticism as the level around the Tour is high:
"You have to respect every singles player, because you don't know what they are going through, you have to respect women tennis and players."
Since beating Rus, Sakkari won another close 3-setter and looks to be turning the page after a very lacklustre season so far.
