Emma Raducanu is getting ready to put a troublesome 2022 behind her as she gears up to play herself back into the conversation with the top players the WTA has to offer in the new year.

The British No.1 has been pestered by niggling injuries, enhanced pressure and loss of form since shocking the world and claiming the 2021 US Open title - becoming the first qualifier ever to do so.

And, with the trial-basis appointment of new coach Sebastian Sachs - a man who guided Belinda Bencic to an Olympic gold medal - alongside Andy Murray's former fitness coach Jez Green, the 20-year-old is hoping to fight her way back after dropping to World No. 80 from a career high No.10.

She has signalled her intent by reportedly starting a training camp at the Tanglin Club in Singapore, with junior member of the club Nathan Bakri as a hitting partner.

It all in preparation for an assault on the upcoming Australian Open, an event she disappointed as the newest Grand Slam champion last year when losing to Danka Kovinic in the second round.

The Brit recently told fans she was injury clear for the new campaign, stating: She said: "Physically, body, injury-wise I'm good now, I'm clear. Touch wood it stays like that. I really worked on my fitness the last two months, less on the tennis court. So, I'm just trying to get my feeling on the court."

Raducanu was last seen on court during an exhibition defeat to World No.2 in Abu Dhabi and is set to begin her 2023 season at the ASB Classic in New Zealand.
